My husband and I selected the beautiful Seward Park neighborhood for today's walk because, even though our walk was relatively short (3.1 miles), it was enough to boost my milage count past the 2,000 mile mark! This is a beautiful, scenic neighborhood and it was a beautiful day.
We walked streets east of Seward Park Avenue S between Seward Park and Martha Washington Park. We passed lovely homes
and gardens
- some of the homes were on the lake.
Martha Washington Park
has a large open field,
water access
and, weather permitting, a great view of Mount Rainier.
This is a quiet, upscale, residential neighborhood
where we spotted a few vegetable gardens
and some trees with interesting trunks.
It was a great walk on which to reach the 2,000 mile mark.
