Seward Park

My husband and I passed lots of staircases (and climbed a few) today as we took a 3.4 mile walk in the Seward Park neighborhood. We walked streets mostly between 50th and 54th Avenues S from S Alaska to S Brandon Street.

The eastern part of our walk had great views of Lake Washington and lovely homes and gardens.

The western edge had more modest houses and was home to a commercial area which included Noah's Grocery,

Seward Park Cleaners, a PCC, a veterinary center, Seward Park Chiropractic and Bent Burgers. (There were more shops along some streets we have not yet walked.)

This area is home to the Lakewood Seward Park Community Club (I remember attending a lovely wedding there),

Lakewood Playground

and the Seattle Kollel.

Along the way, we saw signs of Spring,

a house surrounded by palm trees,

residents out gardening, a dog walker who was shepherding quite a flock,

interesting street art

and a tree which we used to measure ourselves.

This was not a long walk but it was a rewarding one.
