Downtown

Today's 4.8 mile walk didn't cover much new ground but did fill-in some streets I hadn't walked before; my husband and I enjoyed some familiar sights and marveled at all the new construction.

We walked to the water end of Lenora and got a view of the sound and of a train load of coal headed north.

We passed the upscale Patagonia outdoor clothing store, Belltown Billiards and an artistic manhole cover.

We noted that the Space Needle kept popping into view.

We walked near the Pike Place Market and down Post Alley (passing the Pink Door restaurant).

We saw art and life imitating art.

  1. Thank you for your blog. I truly enjoy your walks. Maybe your next blog can be about creating a map of Seattle manhole covers. I just read that there is no map available. They are art that you just stumble upon.

    1. Hi Carina, thanks for this comment. I'll have to keep my eyes open for more of these covers and try to document their locations more accurately during the remainder of my walks.
