Leschi

After too much time off from walking, my husband and I returned to Leschi today for a 3.7 mile walk. The sun was shining and children were enjoying recess as we started our walk near Leschi Elementary School.

We proceeded south along quiet, residential streets towards Frink Park (an Olmstead Legacy Park). We walked through the park and circled back along a path which took us to the remains of what may have once been a large house.

This neighborhood offers some public access to Lake Washington and we discovered benches at the ends of Dearborn and Charles Streets.

We enjoyed views of the lake,

some grand houses

and climbing at least six staircases (some of them quite steep).

It was great seeing the sun and to walk in this nice neighborhood.
