North of Green Lake

Last Friday, my husband and I took a 5 mile walk in the Green Lake neighborhood. Most of the streets along which we walked were between N 80th and N 85th Street from Interlake to Sunnyside Avenues.

This is a tidy neighborhood sandwiched between busy streets (80th and 85th) and abutting I-5.

It is a mix of small older homes, new densely packed condos

and commons-type housing.

There are businesses (mostly restaurants

and a wine bar) along the stretch of Green Lake Drive included in our walk.

This area is home to Bishop Blanchet High School

and the Seattle Parks department Shops.

Another lovely neighborhood and another example of overloaded utility poles.
